MEDICINE FOR THE EARTH GATHERINGS AND HEALING WITH SPIRITUAL LIGHT 
 
 This training based on the information in Medicine for the Earth teaches how to transform personal and environmental pollution by learning how to transmute negative beliefs, attitudes, and energy which is generated by emotions.
 
 The process continues with learning how to work in cooperation with helping spirits and the spirits of the land as well as getting in touch with our own internal divine nature to create healing and transmutation.
 
 The training includes learning about working in cooperation with all the elements earth, water, air, fire.  Other key elements and spiritual practices will also be explored which can be easily incorporated into daily life.  These methods are necessary and helpful for transforming and transmuting environmental and personal toxins.
 
 With spiritual practices and learning how to shift our consciousness we can add to all the brilliant environmental work going on today. But we must learn the power of integrating spiritual work into our daily lives. And this is the major theme of this training.
 
 Participants will also take part ceremonies to transmute water and other substances as well as to transmute planetary problems.  There will be a fire ceremony to help us manifest our visions.

  Because the etiology of illness today is different from ancient times, our healing methods must be updated to deal with modern-day illness such as cancer and immune deficiency problems caused by environmental pollution.

 Sandra will teach new methods of healing based on Medicine for the Earth work that can be integrated into a shamanic healing practice.

 The ceremonial work done as a group in collaboration with community and the spirits is truly a life transforming experience.

MEDICINE FOR THE EARTH REUNION

 This reunion is only open to those who have been part of a Medicine for the Earth Gathering. Any gathering taught by a teacher on www.medicinefortheearth.com is the prerequisite.  Exercises will be presented by participants who have been teaching and working with the Medicine for the Earth material.  Sandra will be present at the reunion.

THE WAY OF THE SHAMAN
 
 During this experiential workshop, participants are introduced to core shamanism, the nearly universal methods used by the shaman to enter non-ordinary reality for problem solving and healing.  Particular emphasis is on the classic shamanic journey, one of the most remarkable visionary methods utilized to explore hidden universes otherwise known primarily through myth and dream.  Participants are initiated into shamanic journeying, aided by drumming and other techniques for experiencing the shamanic state of consciousness and for awakening dormant spiritual abilities, including connections with Nature.
 
 Practice includes comparisons by participants of their discoveries in shamanic journeys as well as being introduced to shamanic divination and healing. Participants learn how the journey is utilized to help restore spiritual power and health, and how shamanism can be applied in contemporary daily life to help heal one-self, others, and the Planet.
 
 This training is the prerequisite for all advanced workshops and training courses offered by the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.

FIVE-DAY SOUL RETRIEVAL TRAINING
 
 This training is residential and is based on Sandra Ingerman's books Soul Retrieval: Mending the Fragmented Self and Welcome Home: Following Your Soul's Journey Home and the CD program "The Soul Retrieval Journey" produced by Sounds True.

 The five-day workshop is designed exclusively for those who wish to bring shamanic healing techniques into their practice with others, not for personal healing.  Participants will be trained to work with the issue of soul loss, explore the experience of partial soul loss resulting from personal trauma and illness, and will learn how to track a person's soul and return lost essence to that individual.

 Particular emphasis will be placed on integrating this potent healing process in a modern day culture. Training will be given on developing communication skills that help the practitioner tell healing stories to their clients based on the spiritual information received in their journeys.

 The course also focuses on life after soul retrieval, how to create a healthier life after healing has taken place.  Individuals attending the training will perform and receive a soul retrieval during the course of the week, and are given extensive instruction on how to work with clients after a soul retrieval through the use of shamanic journeying, ritual, and ceremony.  This work results in creating long term healing.

 Success at shamanic journeying and good contact with power animals and/or teachers in non-ordinary reality is essential for participation.  Please do not enroll if you are not confident with your journeying skills.

Prerequisite: The Way of the Shaman weekend workshop with a FSS faculty member.

A TRAINING IN NEPALESE SHAMANISM

 I am excited to announce I am co-sponsoring a workshop in Santa Fe with Santa Fe Soul to introduce you to the work of Bhola Nath Banstola from Nepal.  Bhola will teach a non-residential workshop June 6-7. And then he will see clients for individual healing sessions June 8-11.  Please contact Santa Fe Soul for information and to sign up for the workshop or for a healing session with Bhola.

 Bhola Nath Banstola was initiated into traditional Nepalese shamanism at age ten by his grandfather.  Educated in India, he is fluent in English, holds an MA in cultural anthropology from Delhi University and is a Doctor of Naturopathy.   Bhola's life is dedicated to the research, teaching and preservation of the Himalayan shamanic tradition including herbal and ethno-medicines which have been used through ages.  He travels world wide as a teacher and healer and for six months each year leads treks to Nepal, India and Tibet.

 I am pleased to offer this rare opportunity to connect with a dear friend of mine, an indigenous Nepalese Shaman who is a renowned international healer and teacher.  Bhola Banstola brings the art and wisdom of his ancestral Himalayan Shamanic Tradition to share with us on this visit! This experiential two-day workshop will be devoted to the healing of oneself and as a foundation for doing healing work for others. An introduction of traditional Nepali shamanic healing systems and practices will be followed by a technique for inducing the shamanic trance.  Shamanic journeys will be followed by sharing, group shamanic dance, and discussions on disease and healing.

 The group will conduct a healing ceremony in circle transferring the spiritual, emotional, and physical obstacles and hindrances into a shamanic mandala.  There will be seven levels of cleansing, transferring and annihilating unbeneficial energies and two levels of thanksgiving to the spiritual guides and ancestral spirits.  Participants will receive a sacred mantra to be used in doing healing work, prayer, meditation and when calling on the deities as a part of this beginning initiation which will then be followed by group drumming, dancing and thanksgiving songs.
